A fashion brand was looking to automate their planning and OTB tool. Their challenge? They had no in-house expertise, and spending on an expensive software platform was also not an option. They came to us with one question: “Can you guys help us create an OTB tool with customized requiremnts?”

Founder of a fashion brand

"We always dreamed of scaling, but the truth is we didn’t know how to scale online. With the team’s help, we went from a single store to being a real brand people talk about — and we did it faster than we thought possible. It feels like we’ve jumped five years ahead."

The challenges

Expanding a boutique into a national fashion brand wasn’t going to be easy. Some of the major challenges included:

  • Tracking OTB (Open-to-Buy) planning for multiple SKUs across styles, sizes, gender and product types was being done in an unorganized way

  • Disjointed systems for forecasting, sales tracking and inventory monitoring

  • Difficulty in comparing projected vs actual sales, resulting in planning gaps

The founders were motivated but overwhelmed, unsure of where to even begin.

Our approach

We structured our work with with the client as follows:

  • Designed a centralized, automated OTB planning tool

  • Included dynamic inputs for style, size, gender, age, and clothing type

  • Embedded forecasting logic to compare projected vs actual sales

  • Created linked inventory and sales dashboards for clear visibility

  • Enabled dynamic category-level planning and scenario simulations
